Cheeseburger Packets

Compared to those normal burgers, this cheeseburger packet comes with different look - cheese burger without the bun. But don’t worry, it is delicious, and easier, quicker to make. Definitely, it’s more suitable for camping (or other outdoor activities), not only for its taste, but also the minimal clean-up. So, if you are considering a simple-to-cook but tasty camping food for kids, try this cheeseburger packet.

You are going to prepare these ingredients: hamburger, egg, potatoes, carrots, onion, salt, garlic powder, pepper, olive oil and cheese. Do not forget to prepare aluminum foils, the most essential cooking gear for this camping food.

When everything is ready, now you can put the hamburger and egg into a bowl, add garlic powder & salt and mix. Form the seasoned hamburger into parries, and set them aside. Make a foil box, put some potato cubes, carrot cubes and onion in the center and top with a patty. Put olive oil, seal packet and then put it on the grill. After 30 - 40 minutes, open the packet’s top, place a piece of cheese, and grill for 3 minutes until the cheese is melted. Trust, kids love potato, hamburger and cheese, so this is the camping food that kids will ask for more.

Banana Boat with Chocolate and Marshmallows

All kids love sweet food, so why not make some sweet camping food for kids while camping? Check this recipe of banana boat with chocolate and marshmallows, the camping food for kids that you’ll never fail. Common ingredients, easy and quick to cook. Generally, you’ll only need banana, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and aluminum foils. Of course, you can add any other toppings your kids would like, such as strawberries, nuts, coconut shavings, pecans and much more.

To begin with, slit the banana lengthwise through the peel. Secondly, open up the banana very carefully, do not ruin the shape. Then, stuff chocolate and mini marshmallows, wrap it with aluminum foil and place it on the grill and cook for about 3 - 5 minutes. At last, remove from the banana boat from grill, unwrap and now enjoy.

Campfire Grilled Fish Tacos (with Chips)

Grilled fish? That sounds great. But, kids will be more excited if you turn grilled fish into tacos AND serve with potato chips. To enjoy and make time to prepare this camping food for your kids, you can choose a campsite that near lake and is fishing allowed, or just bring some fish fillets directly. In addition to the grilled fish, you’ll have to prepare a spicy corn salsa for making the tacos (if your kids are not fans of spicy flavor, then make it without jalapeno).

Let’s check the needed ingredients. First for the grilled fish: fish fillets (whatever you like, maybe snapper, mild or white fish), olive oil, salt, lime, chili powder and cumin. Then for the corn salsa: corn, jalapeno, cilantro, onion, lime and salt. Additionally, you’ll prepare tortillas, and chips.

To make campfire grilled fish tacos: build a campfire, prepare the fish fillets (both sides) with lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, salt and cumin, grill the jalapeno and corn for around 7 to 10 minutes, place the fish fillets in a wire grill basket, grill 3 minutes for each side, cut the corn, peel the jalapeno and chop, along with onion, cilantro and mince fish. Put everything into a bowl, and add lime juice and salt, mix gently. Finally, place the finished ingredients into the warmed tortillas, and serve with some potato chips. Kids are gonna love this.
